Fears over Boeing's plan to create AI-controlled killer jets
for US military - despite slew of scandals

Aerospace giant Boeing — which has already stranded two NASA
astronauts in space this year — now plans to build lethal,
AI-piloted fighter planes.

Their proposed fleet of 'un-crewed' killer aircraft, piloted
by 'artificial intelligence' and dubbed MQ-28 Ghost Bats,
would number in the thousands for the US alone.

Critics tell DailyMail.com the firm's plans raise concerns
for public safety, national security and simply 'good use
of of taxpayer funds.'

. . .

Better be a "NO DEI" clause in the contract ...

Boeing is also not the ONLY US company able to
build such things.

As for the NEED for AI super-killers ... yep, the
time has come and the need is great. China has been
putting LOTS of effort into such things. The goal
is to be able to push a button and put 'em into
fully-autonomous mode - several times quicker and
more accurate than anything mere humans could pilot.
They can also be much CHEAPER without the need to
protect/sustain human pilots.

MAY be time to envision entirely new naval/AF
arrangements too - lots of small drone/missile
boats maybe without ANY humans involved. Easy
to take out a carrier these days, NOT so easy
to deal with a swarm of hornets. The AF loves
its pilots too ... but various drones ARE still
the wave of the (near) future. We HAVE to keep
pace with our opponents ... and they're headed
drone/AI quick.

Human 'heroes" - quaint old notion at this point,
kinda like armored knights. Even the ground army
will have to heavily embrace automated methods ;
the humans only march in AFTER the drones have
done their battles.

This is THE FUTURE - don't miss it OR ELSE.

Hmmm ... read yer history ... particularly about
how the Brits sent waves of horse cavalry and
infantry against German machine-gun nests early
in WW-1. 19th-century pomp -vs- 20th-century
mass slaughter machine. It's why there was a
"lost generation" .....

Better  be a "NO DEI" clause in the contract ...
DEI doesn't say anything at all about who gets hired. It just says to
make the interview pool as wide as it can reasonably be. So by
definition, any company using DEI is going to out-perform a similar
company hiring only old rich white guys.
